Privacy policy
How Northern Jet Wash collects, uses and protects your personal data under UK data protection law.
Last updated: 20 August 2026
Northern Jet Wash (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we process when you use northernjetwash.co.uk (and related pages), why we process it, and the rights you have under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who is responsible for your data
For the purposes of UK data protection law, Northern Jet Wash is the data controller for personal data described in this policy.

2. What data we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may process:
- Identity and contact data — name, email address, telephone number, and postal address if you provide them for a quote or job.
- Enquiry content — details you include in messages, forms or emails (for example service type, property description, photographs you choose to send).
- Technical data — limited information such as browser type, device type and approximate location derived from IP address, where provided by our hosting or analytics tools.
- Cookie and preference data — your cookie consent choice stored locally in your browser. See our cookie policy.
We do not intentionally collect special category data. Please do not include sensitive personal information in enquiry forms unless it is strictly necessary for the service.
3. How we collect data
- Directly from you when you email us, call us, or submit an enquiry.
- Automatically when you visit our website (for example server logs and, if you consent, analytics cookies).
4. Why we use your data (lawful bases)
We only process personal data where we have a lawful basis under UK GDPR:
- Contract / steps prior to contract — to respond to quote requests, arrange visits and deliver cleaning services.
- Legitimate interests — to operate and secure our website, improve our services, and keep records of business enquiries in a proportionate way. We balance these interests against your rights.
- Legal obligation — where we must keep records for tax, accounting or other legal requirements.
- Consent — for optional cookies or marketing emails, where used. You can withdraw consent at any time.
5. Marketing
We do not sell your personal data. We will not send marketing emails unless you have opted in, or another lawful basis applies and you can opt out easily. Service messages about an existing enquiry or booking are not marketing.
6. Sharing your data
We may share personal data with trusted service providers who help us run the business, for example:
- Website hosting and email delivery providers
- Professional advisers (for example accountants) where necessary
- Analytics providers, only if you accept optional cookies
These parties process data on our instructions or as independent controllers where the law requires. We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
7. International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (for example UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses), as required by UK GDPR.
8. How long we keep data
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above:
- General enquiries — typically up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact, unless a job proceeds.
- Customer / job records — for the period needed to provide the service and meet legal, tax and insurance requirements (often up to 6 years after the end of the financial year in which the work completed).
- Cookie consent preferences — until you clear site data or change your choice.
9. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure; please use care when sending information by email.
10. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you may have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Rectify inaccurate data
- Request erasure in certain circumstances
- Restrict or object to processing in certain circumstances
- Data portability, where applicable
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO)
To exercise your rights, email hello@northernjetwash.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

11. Children
Our services are aimed at adults arranging property cleaning. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Please review this page periodically.
